Curried ground cherry chutney



  • 325 ml (11/2 cups) Quebec ground cherries
  • 1 small Quebec onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 red pepper, diced
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) red wine vinegar
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) pasteurized honey
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) mustard seed
  • 2 ml (1/2 tsp.) curry powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Mix all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and let simmer 20 minutes stirring once in a while until mixture becomes syrupy in texture. Allow to cool.
  3. Put up in preserve jars and refrigerate. Delicious with pork.
