Did you know the pumpkin and winter squash are difficult to distinguish from one another? Although similar in shape, their stems are different. The pumpkin’s stem is hard and fibrous whereas the winter squash’s stem is more tender and flared at the bottom.

Did you know that the pumpkin’s orange colour shows it contains beta-carotene? Like other members of the cucumber family, the pumpkin is rich in Pro-Vitamin A.
